The second anniversary of independence from the American occupation and the arrival of the Mujahidin in Kabul celebrates in the MOD

August 15 Day, the country's second anniversary of independence from American occupation and the arrival of the triumphant Mujahidin of the Islamic Emirate in Kabul was honored during a special ceremony with the attendance of Mawlavi Mohammad Yaqoob "Mujahid", Acting Ministry of National Defense, Mawlavi Mohammad Qasim "Farid", the Deputy Defense Minister for strategy and policy, High ranking officials and other Mujahidin at the Ministry of National Defense headquarter, today.

In this independence ceremony, the Acting Minister of Defense during his speeches said: "This freedom has been achieved with the heroic acts of your nation, and the sacrifices of those sincere Mujahidin who sacrificed themselves for the Islamic values and the country, and eventually they defeated the powerful countries who came here for their own specific purposes. It’s now the Islamic Government ruling here and this is a joint Government for all Afghans and we and you should be grateful for this Administration."

Acting Defense Minister added; "We have eliminated the revenge thought; now it is the time to build our homeland, and we will compete with our rivals for the development of the country with love and passion and tolerance are necessary to solve the problems which arise, and God willing, all of them will be solved." As we fought before for establishing the Islamic Government and national values, now we are ready to defend and serve."

Meanwhile, the country's Independence Day has been celebrated in all Army Corps, Divisions, Brigades, and Battalions of the Ministry of National Defense.
