28th Asad (19 August)104th Independence Day Anniversary of Afghanistan held in a Special Ceremony with participation of Government high ranking officials at the Ministry of Defense
On the occasion 28th Asad (19 August), the 104th Independence Day of Afghanistan anniversary from British colonialism was celebrated in a special ceremony with the attendance of the Deputies of Prime Minister, the Cabinet Members of Emirate Islamic and Mujahidin at the Ministry of Defense headquarter.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Mawlavi Mohammad Yaqoob "Mujahid", Acting Ministry of National Defense, while congratulating the country's independence Day said that: we are celebrating the legacy of our fathers and forefathers on this proud day, whose children day before yesterday, with the same determination, defeated the world greatest powerful country, America and NATO.
The ceremony continued with the liberating and patriotic speeches of the Deputies Prime Minister and some cabinet members of the Islamic Emirate, which the speakers commended the struggles and heroism of the oppressed and religious people during the many years against the three colonial superpowers of the world and considered it’s important and they called the remembrance of this day as a lesson for other occupiers.
During this gathering, the congratulatory and inspiring message of Sheikh al-Hadith Amir al-Momineen Mawlawi Haibatullah Akhundzada", the leader of the Islamic Emirate, was read to the attendees.
In the end of the commemoration, Mawlavi Abdul Ghani Baradar Deputy Prime Minister for the Economic, along with Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, laid a wreath on the Independence Minaret during the special ceremonies which was held by Banduo Battalion military personnel.
Simultaneously, the Ministry of National Defense Air Forces helicopters flew in the Kabul city sky with the raising flag of the Islamic Emirate and sprinkled flowers and congratulatory welcome freedom
