The women Advisory Committee Meeting on Security held with the participation of the First Lady of the country at the Ministry of National Defense!
In this meeting, General Assadullah Khalid acting Ministry of National Defense, Lt Gen Massoud Andarabi acting Ministry of Interior Affair, Deputy Minister of Interior Affair for Policy and Strategy, First deputy of the chief of staff of the Army, Chiefs of the Gender and Human Rights for both of the Ministries, NATO Senior Civilian Representative, Ambassadors of Friend Countries and number of chiefs, Generals and Officers of the National Defense and Security Forces have been attended in the meeting held at Ministry of National Defense.
First Lady Rula Ghani while praising the effective functioning of women at various levels of the defense and security forces said that” we are committed to increasing the role of women in various sectors of government, especially the security sector, therefore, recently we have been seen the good cadres of hardworking women in the Ministry of National Defense and Ministry of Interior Affair for policymaking and training departments, she also added that" in the sector of the vocational and military training for women it would be set up to be established a training center which women to achieve training and military higher education.
In the meantime, acting Ministry of National Defense recalled the effective role of women in the Defense and Security sector and emphasizing for more presence of women in leadership and defense forces, said that” the Ministry of National Defense is the Defender of the fundamental rights and security for all citizens, and in the peace process, the government is committed to upholding women's civic values and human rights, we appointed women in key sections of the leadership and also we have practical plans in the field of education, capability development, improving capacity and professionalization of women, and besides, we providing them educational opportunities inside and outside the country and as soon we will see military women in the various sections of the leadership.
Afterward, acting Ministry of Interior Affair also emphasized the participation of the women in the police leadership level and he recalled the training programs for women at the Ministry of Interior, said that: about 3,700 women are serving in the Afghan National Police (ANP) which they committed to rendering services honestly to the people and their homeland.
It is mentionable, that the Ministries of National Defense and Interior Affairs while paying to the heirs of the martyrs of the Defense and Security Forces, have plans of winter distributions.
