60 Insurgents Were Killed in Different Parts of the Country

Kabul, Afghanistan: in the past 24 hours, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 14 joint clearance operations and conducted 75 Special Forces operations in different parts of the country. In order to remove security threats and ensure security to the people of Afghanistan, Afghan Air Forces conducted 79 flights and carried out 12 airstrikes on enemies’ positions in support of these operations. As a result, 60 Insurgents were killed and 36 were wounded.

These operations were conducted with support of Resolute Support and Afghan Air Forces in, Faryab, Kapisa, Uruzgan, Zabul, Farah, Nimruz, Takhar, Helmand, Paktika, Badakhshan, Balk, Sir-e Pol, Ghazni, Logar and Kunar provinces.

In these operations, 22 insurgents including 2 foreign terrorists were killed, 5 were wounded, 2 hideouts, 1 vehicle, 4 motorbikes, amount of weapons and ammunition were destroyed in Gurziwan and Dawlat Abad districts of Faryab province. 12 insurgents were killed and 5 were wounded in Tagab district Kapisa province. 8 insurgents were killed, 3 were wounded and a hideout was destroyed in Khas-Uruzgan district and Trenkut capital of Uruzgan province. 7 insurgents were killed, 13 were wounded, 5 motorbikes amount of weapon and ammunition were destroyed in Daychopan district of Zabul province.

Similarly, 5 insurgents were killed, 6 were wounded and a hideout was destroyed in Pushrod district of Farah province. 3 insurgents were killed and another was wounded in Khashrod district of Nimruz province. An insurgent was killed in Garmsir district of Helmand province. An insurgent was killed and another was wounded in Khwaja Bahauddin district of Takhar province.  An insurgent was killed and 2 were wounded in Sar Hawza district of Paktika province.

 Afghan National Army as the nation’s defense forces, are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
