23 Insurgents Were Killed in Different Parts of the Country

Kabul, Afghanistan: in the past 24 hours, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 9 joint clearance operations and conducted 79 Special Forces operations in different parts of the country. In order to remove security threats and ensure security to the people of Afghanistan, Afghan Air Forces conducted 81 flights and carried out 20 airstrikes on enemies’ positions in support of these operations. As a result, 31 Insurgents were killed and 2 were wounded.

These operations were conducted with support of Resolute Support and Afghan Air Forces in Uruzgan, Ghazni, Takhar, Helmand, Nimruz, Ghor, Kandahar and Kapisa provinces.

In these operations, 16 insurgents were killed and 3 hideouts were destroyed in Kotwal area, Trenkut capital of Uruzgan province. 3 insurgents were killed and 2 were wounded in Shah Walikut district of Kandahar province. 3 insurgents were killed, 1 depot of ammunition and a motorbikes were destroyed in Andar district of Ghazni province. 2 insurgents were killed and a motorbike was destroyed in Dasht e Qala district of Takhar province.

Afghan National Army as the nation’s defense forces, are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
