and the region. General Khalid expressed hopes that the ongoing negotiations between the Afg. Gov. and the Taliban will lead to establishing sustainable peace.
He also stated: "the enemy has escalated their violent campaign and continue killing Afghans. We assure that the enemy's victory through violence is a dream that may never come true. The ANDSF has the capacity to independently defend their country and the values and achievements of the last two decades, and will do so with all their force."
Further, Lt. General John Deedrick Jr. the Commanding General of CSTC-A said: "The transfer of A-29 planes demonstrate the US and NATO's commitment to assist and support ANDSF."
Lt. General. Abdul Fahim Ramin, AAF Commander said: "The AAF' now has the capacity to plan and implement operations independently."
A-29 attack planes are compatible with Afg. geography and climate and are equipped with machine guns, rockets, and laser-guided bombs which can be very effective in destroying strategic targets.
