65 Taliban Insurgents Were Killed
Kabul, Afghanistan: In order to remove security threats and ensure security to the people of Afghanistan, in the past 24 hours, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 11 joint clearance operations and conducted 77 Special Forces operations in different parts of the country, Afghan Air Forces conducted 136 flights and carried out 19 airstrikes on enemies’ positions in support of these operations. As a result, 65 Insurgents were killed, 26 were wounded and 7were detained.
These operations were conducted with support of Resolute Support and Afghan Air Forces in, Zabul, Ghazni, Uruzgan, Takhar, Khost, Helmand, Badakhshan, Kunar, Paktia, Herat, Balkh and Sir-e Pol provinces.
In these operations, 26 insurgents were killed, 17 were wounded, 1 vehicle and 10 motorbikes were destroyed in Shinkay, Shah Joy, Arghandab districts and capital of Zabul province.13 insurgents were killed, 9 were wounded, 7 were arrested and amount of weapon and ammunition were seized in Guzab, Khas- e Uruzgan, Deh Rahwood districts and capital of Uruzgan province. 12 insurgents were killed in Dehyak district of Ghazni province.
Similarly, 8 insurgents were killed and a depot of weapon and ammunition were destroyed in Acbar-Boya and Mullah Aziz villages, Baharak district of Takhar province. 3 insurgents were killed, amount of weapon and ammunition were confiscated in Bahak district of Khost province. 2 insurgents were killed, 1 motorbike and amount of weapon and ammunition were seized in Nahar Saraj district Helmand province. An insurgent was killed and 29 rounds of IEDs were discovered and defused in number one highway of Ghazni province.
