Taliban suffered heavy casualties and their attack repelled in Gaizab and Dehrawood districts of Uruzgan!

Afghan National Defense and Security Forces, acting based on their active defense posture, conducted a preemptive operation and repelled Taliban attack in Gaizab and Dehrawood districts of Uruzgan province, yesterday. As a result, 16 Taliban were killed and 11 others were wounded.

They were planning to attack ANDSF positions when they were targeted by Afghan National Army.

Additionally, 17 IEDs were discovered and defused by ANA, 2 hideouts and a large amount of weapons and ammunition were destroyed during the reciprocal attack of Afghan National Army.
