114 Insurgents Were Killed!

Kabul, Afghanistan: in the past 24 hours, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 16 joint offensive & pre-planned clearance operations and Air Forces carried out 21 airstrikes on enemies’ positions, in order to remove security threats, eliminate the enemy’s strongholds and ensure better security, these operations were conducted in 13 provinces of the country, as a result, 114 Insurgents were killed, 24 were wounded and 13 including 11 suspects were detained.

Kandahar- 30 insurgents were killed, 7 were wounded, 2 detained, 1 suspect arrested, 2 vehicles, 11 motorbikes, 14 fighting positions, 1 tunnel and several suicide vests were destroyed, some advertising documents were seized, and 10 rounds IEDs were discovered & defused in clearing operation conducted by Afghan National Defense and Security Forces with support of Air Forces in Miyan Nasheen and Maiwand districts.

Baghalan- 30 insurgents including Qari Ishaq Gujur a Taliban local commander were killed, 6 were wounded and 8 rounds of IEDs were discovered & defused in ANDSF clearing operation with support of Air Forces in Khwaja, Shahar Naw areas of the Dahana Ghori district.

Helmand- 19 insurgents were killed and 1 suspect was arrested, 1 vehicle and amount of weapons & munitions were destroyed in Joint Special Operation conducted by ANDSF with support of Air Forces in Marja, Nad Ali and Nawzad districts.

Daykundi- 11 insurgents including Mawlavi Abdul Wasay Taliban shadow district governor for Nawzad district of Helmand province were killed, 4 were wounded and 1 vehicle was destroyed in airstrikes carried by Air Forces in Kujran district.

Ghazni- 8 insurgents were killed, 4 were wounded, 1 vehicle and 4 motorbikes were destroyed in airstrikes carried by Air Forces in Dehyak, Andar and Gelan districts.

Kapisa- 6 insurgents were killed, 1 wounded and 9 suspects were arrested in Joint Special Operation conducted by ANDSF in Nijrab district.

Takhar- 5 insurgents were killed and 2 were wounded in response attacks and airstrikes carried by Air Forces in Dasht Qala and Ishkamish districts.

Wardak- 3 insurgents were killed, 1 hideout, 1 vehicle packed with explosive were destroyed in airstrikes carried by Ai Forces in Nirkh, Daimirdad, Sayed Abad districts and province capital. 

Herat- 2 insurgents were killed, amount of weapons & ammunition were confiscated and 1 motorbike was destroyed in ANDSF Joint Special Operation in Kishak Kohna district.
