President Ghani, Commander-in-Chief of the Afghan Armed Forces assessed the reforms in the Ministry of National Defense!

The reforms assessment was held with the attended of His Excellency Mohammed Ashraf Ghani the president of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Hamdullah Mohib National Security Council Advisor, First Deputy of Ministry of National Defense Shah Mahmood Miakhel, Chief of General Staff of the Afghan National Army Forces Gen. Mohammed Yasin Zia, Chiefs, Generals, Officers, Sergeants and Soldiers at the Ministry of National Defense.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in his speeches said: I regularly contact the brave soldiers and officers of the country who are serving in the front-lines of the battlefield & listens to their suggestions, demands & recommendation and I talking to them and I see them closely with high courage how they bravely fight and defend their compatriots' lives and properties against the enemies of Afghanistan.

I am getting more confident and motivated when I meeting with the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces; you have given the greatest sacrifice on the battlefield and it will not be forgetting; You are the pride of me and the people of Afghanistan.

President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani added” the fundamental reforms have been implemented at the various sections of the Ministry of National Defense, which is commendable and this process should be accelerated.

Referring to the peace negotiations between the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the Taliban, President Ghani said the Afghan government is committed to peace, but a positive, lasting and inclusive peace that ensures justice, greater participation and protect the rights of citizens.” it should be preserved by Afghan National Defense and Security Forces. 

His Excellency President Ghani said: I especially praise and thank the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces Gen. Mohammad Yasin Zia, who constantly stand on the frontline like a soldier in the north, south, east and west. and, I award you the Ghazi Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan medal and in the meantime, Mr. President awarded the colonel rank to the Lt. Colonel Alim Bek commander of the 215 Army Corps-3rd Brigade-2nd Battalion, for his devotions and courage in the fight against the enemies of the country.

The Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces also issued one hundred more medals to Afghan National Defense & Security Force soldiers for the sake of their courage and patriotism who are fight in the frontline of the battlefield and defend the country.

Meanwhile, Hamdullah Mohib National Security Council Advisor said: reforms in the Ministry will boost the morale of the forces on the front lines of war, adding that reforms are established to better supply, equip and strengthen the forces, address the needs of the families of the martyred and the wounded.

NSA Hamdullah Mohib also said the honor and pride of our country are in the strength and unity of the armed forces which you are a real model of that, the people of Afghanistan supporting you and they are all happy from your hard and tireless work.

Similarly, Mr. Shah Mahmood Miakhel, First Deputy Minister of Defense said capacity, determination, and commitment at the Defense Ministry, as well as coordination and transparency, have been the factors that resulted in tangible reforms in this institution.

At the end of the assessment of the reform, Mr. President listened to the reports of the various departments of the Ministry of National Defense regarding their reforms and functions and issued the necessary instructions for further reforms and transparency.
