Ministry of Defense statement

The Ministry of National Defense has become aware of a video on social media showing what appears to be some security forces members acting inapropriatly with a number of dead bodies.

The Ministry of National Defense is seriously investigating this issue and if verified that the violators are members of ANA, they will be dealt with according to the applicable laws of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

The leadership of the Ministry of National Defense has continuously stressed all members of the ANA must comply with all applicable national and international laws.
