41 Insurgents Were Killed in Different Parts of the Country
Kabul, Afghanistan: in the past 24 hours, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 7 joint clearance operations and conducted 60 Special Forces operations in different parts of the country. In order to remove security threats and ensure security to the people of Afghanistan, Afghan Air Forces conducted 60 flights and carried out 12 airstrikes on enemies’ positions in support of these operations. As a result, 41 Insurgents were killed, 13 were wounded and 3 were detained.
These operations were conducted with support of Resolute Support and Afghan Air Forces in, Uruzgan, Kandahar, Paktia, Wardak, Ghazni, Faryab, Kapisa, Takhar, Kunduz and Nimruz provinces.
In these operations, 14 insurgents were killed, 3 were wounded, 2 hideouts, round of IEDs and amount weapons and ammunition were destroyed in Char Chino district and capital of Uruzgan province. 8 insurgents were killed in Musa Qala and Nahar Saraj districts of Helmand province. 5 insurgents were killed, 1 wounded, a vehicle was destroyed and a motorbike was seized in Zarmat and Waza Khwa districts of Paktia province. 5 insurgents were killed and 2 were wounded in Shirin Tagab district of Faryab province. 4 insurgents were killed, 3 were wounded and a fighting position was destroyed and 4 rounds of IEDs were discovered and defused in Khakrez district Kandahar province.
Similarly, 3 insurgents were killed and 2 were wounded in Jalrez district of Wardak province. 2 insurgents were killed and 2 were wounded in Khwaja Bahauddin district of Takhar province. 3 insurgents including a Taliban local commander were killed, 1 RPG, 1 binocular, 2 rockets, 2 hand grenades, amount of ammunition and some adverting banners of enemy were seized in Muqur district of Ghazni province. 1 vehicle, 2 motorbikes, 2 hideouts and amount of weapons and ammunition were destroyed and some documents were seized in Gurtipa area, Kunduz Province.
