42 Insurgents Were Killed in Different Parts of the Country
Kabul, Afghanistan: in the past 24 hours, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 11 joint clearance operations and conducted 83 Special Forces operations in different parts of the country. In order to remove security threats and ensure security to the people of Afghanistan, Afghan Air Forces conducted 137 flights and carried out 19 airstrikes on enemies’ positions in support of these operations. As a result, 42 Insurgents were killed, 5 were wounded and 6 were detained.
These operations were conducted with support of Resolute Support and Afghan Air Forces in Paktikah, Helmand, Kandahar, Ghazni, Nangarhar, Kapisa, Paktia, Ghor, Herat, Balkh, Samangan and Kunduz provinces.
In these operations, 15 insurgents were killed and 6 were detained in Barmal district of Paktikah Province. 12 insurgents were killed and a motorbike was destroyed in Musa Qala, Kajaki and Nahar Saraj districts of Helmand Province. 9 insurgents including a Taliban local commander were killed, 5 were wounded, 4 rounds of IEDs, 6 kinds of bunkers were destroyed and 2 motorbikes were seized in Khakrez district of Kandahar Province.
Similarly, in these operations 5 insurgents were killed, 3 vehicles packed with explosives and 1 motorbike were destroyed and 1 AK-47 rifle and 1 motorbike were seized in Andar and Ab-Band districts of Ghazni Province. An insurgent was killed in Achin district of Nangarhar Province.
