52 Insurgents Were Killed in Different Parts of the Country
Kabul, Afghanistan: in the past 24 hours, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 6 joint clearance operations and conducted 88 Special Forces operations in different parts of the country. In order to remove security threats and ensure security to the people of Afghanistan, Afghan Air Forces conducted 120 flights and carried out 11 airstrikes on enemies’ positions in support of these operations. As a result, 52 Insurgents were killed and 11 were wounded. These operations were conducted with support of Resolute Support and Afghan Air Forces in Paktikah, Faryab, Paktia, Ghazni, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Kunduz, Herat, Helmand, Baghalan, Badghis, Balkh, Ghor and Kapisa provinces. In these operations, 17 Haqqani terrorists were killed, 1 hideout and a vehicle were destroyed in Barmal district of Paktikah Province. 15 insurgents were killed, 6 were wounded and 4 rounds of IEDs were discovered and defused in Khwaja Sabz Posh district of Faryab Province. 7 insurgents were killed, were wounded, 2 hideouts, 2 fighting positions and amount of weapons and ammunition were destroyed in Imam Sahib district of Kunduz Province. 4 insurgents were killed 3 were wounded and amount of weapons and ammunition were destroyed in Chora district of Uruzgan Province. Similarly, in these operations 4 Taliban insurgents were killed and a motorbike was destroyed in Qarabagh and Andar districts of Ghazni Province. 2 insurgents were killed and a vehicle was destroyed in Zarmat district of Paktia Province. 2 insurgents were killed and a motorbike was destroyed in Farsi district of Herat Province. An insurgent was killed and 1 Ak-47 rifle was seized in Nad Ali district of Helmand Province. Afghan National Army as the nation’s defense forces, are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
