29 Insurgents Were Killed in Different Parts of the Country

Kabul, Afghanistan:  In the past 24 hours, , Afghan National Army launched 5 clearance operations and conducted 84 Special Forces operations in different parts of the country in order to remove security threats and ensure security to the people of Afghanistan. Afghan Air Forces also conducted 38 sorties in support of Afghan National Army and carried out 5 airstrikes on enemies’ positions. As a result, 29 insurgents were killed and 15 were wounded.

These operations were conducted in Kunar, Badghis, Farah, Balkh, Baghalan, Kunduz, Faryab and Helmand provinces.

Farah: 13 insurgents were killed, 11 were wounded and some weapons and ammunition were destroyed in clearing operations and artillery attacks in Gulistan and Anar Dara districts of Farah Province.

Kunar: 5 insurgents were killed and some weapons and ammunition were destroyed in airstrikes in Ghazi Abad district of Kunar.

 Faryab: 4 insurgents were killed and 4 were wounded in Qaysar district of Faryab.

 Helmand: An insurgent was killed in airstrikes in Marja district of Helmand.

Similarly, The ANA clearing operations continues in Balkh, Kunduz and Badghis provinces, the details and achievements of these operations will be published as soon.

Note: It is with great sadness that we have casualties of Afghan National Army heroes who fought with bravery and courage.
