89 insurgents were killed in different parts of the country      

Kabul, Afghanistan:  In the past 24 hours, , Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched one clearing operation and carried out 70 Special Forces tasks in different parts of the country in order to remove security threats and ensure security. Afghan Air Forces also conducted 78 flights supporting Afghan National Army and carried out 10 airstrikes on enemies’ positions. As a result, 89 insurgents were killed, 17 were wounded and 4 suspects were arrested.

These operations were conducted by the Afghan National Army Forces and with the support of Air forces in Kundoz, Ghazni, Logar, Badghis, Helmand, Kandahar and Balkh provinces.

In these operations, 30 insurgents were killed, 3 were wounded, 4 suspects were arrested and 2 hideouts were destroyed in Kundoz capital. 18 insurgents were killed and a motorbike was destroyed in Andar, Dehyak and Qarabagh districts of Ghazni. 15 insurgents were killed and 9 others were wounded in Moqur district, Badghis capital. 14 insurgents were killed in Charkh and Baraki Barak districts of Logar.

Similarly, 7 insurgents were killed, 3 were wounded and enemies’ hideout destroyed in Nawzad, Greshk, Musa Qala and Helmand capital. 2 insurgents were killed in Maiwand district of Kandahar. One insurgent was killed, 2 were wounded and 2 motorbikes were destroyed in Chaharbolak district of Balkh.

Afghan National Army as the nation’s defense forces, are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
