92 insurgents were killed in different parts of the country
Kabul, Afghanistan: In the past 24 hours, , Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 3 clearing operations and carried out 70 Special Forces tasks in different parts of the country in order to remove security threats and ensure security. Afghan Air Forces also conducted 112 flights supporting Afghan National Army and carried out 19 airstrikes on enemies’ positions. As a result, 92 insurgents were killed, 30 were wounded and 10 suspects were arrested.
These operations were conducted by the Afghan National Army Forces and with the support of Air forces in Nangarhar, Kapisa, Ghazni, Oruzgan, Baghlan, Faryab, Jawzjan, Takhar, Kundoz and Helmand provinces.
In these operations, 33 insurgents were killed in Faiz Abad district of Jawzjan. 27 insurgents were killed and 16 other were wounded in Emam Saheb district of Kundoz. Bakhmal Kocha, Aqibay, Pule Kheshti, Qarghan Tapa, and Rawza villages were also cleared of insurgents. 12 insurgents were killed, one was wounded and a hideout was destroyed in Trenkut city, Oruzgan capital. 9 insurgents were killed and 10 others were arrested in Dehyak and Andar districts of Ghazni.
Similarly, 7 insurgents were killed and 2 hideouts were destroyed in Khogyani district of Nangarhar. 4 insurgents were killed and 8 others were wounded in Gerziwan district of Faryab. 4 insurgents were killed in Greshk district of Helmand. 3 insurgents were killed and 5 others were wounded in Baharak district of Takhar. 3 insurgents were killed in Tagab district of Kapisa.
