Kabul, Afghanistan: In the past 24 hours, , Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 6 clearing operations and carried out 75 Special Forces tasks in different parts of the country in order to remove security threats and ensure security. Afghan Air Forces also conducted 160 flights supporting Afghan National Army and carried out 15 airstrikes on enemies’ positions. As a result, 38 insurgents were killed, 19 were wounded and 4 others were arrested.
These operations were conducted by the Afghan National Army Forces and with the support of Air forces in Nangarhar, Khost, Ghazni, Maidan Wardak, Zabul, Herat, Sarepul, Baghlan, Balkh, Jawzjan and Helmand provinces.
In these operations, 11 insurgents were killed, 4 were arrested and a vehicle was destroyed in Qarabagh, Andar and Rashidan districts of Ghazni. 7 insurgents were killed, 3 were wounded and a motorcycle was destroyed in Chaharbolak and Chamtal districts of Balkh. 6 insurgents were killed and 2 others were wounded in Shakar Shela area of Sangin district of Helmand province. 4 insurgents were killed and 5 others were wounded in Mizan district of Zabul. 4 insurgents were killed, an explosive-packed vehicle and a garage destroyed in Zurmat district of Paktia.
Similarly, 3 insurgents were killed, 8 were wounded and 2 fighting positions were destroyed in Sancharak district of Sarepul. One insurgent was killed and one other was wounded in Faiz Abad district of Badakhshan. One ISIS fighter was killed in Khogyani district and one insurgent was killed in Sayed Abad district of Maidan Wardak.
