Statement of Ministry of National Defense regarding the physical skirmish between an Afghan National Army member and a citizen in Kandahar city!

A video depicting a physical clash between an Afghan National Army member and one of our compatriots in Kandahar city has been posted on social media.

The Ministry of National Defense has investigated the incident, identified the soldier, and interrogated him.

During his interrogations, the ANA soldier has stated that his clash with the citizen depicted in the video had been a mistake and he regrets his action. He will apologize to the victim and will be punished according to applicable laws and regulations.

  The Ministry of National Defense requests the victim or his representative to refer to the 205th Atal Army Corps to ensure that he is compensated appropriately and justice is done.
