123 Insurgents Were Killed!    

Kabul, Afghanistan: in the past 24 hours, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces, launched 11 joint offensive & clearance operations, and conducted 98 Commandos, Special Forces operations in different parts of the country, in order to remove security threats, destroying the enemy’s sanctuaries and ensure better security to the people of Afghanistan,Afghan Air Forces conducted 126 flights and carried out 20 airstrikes on enemies’ positions in support of these operations. As a result, 123 Insurgents were killed and 53 were wounded.

These operations were conducted with support of Resolute Support and Afghan Air Forces in, Herat, Kunduz, Logar, Balkh, Paktikah, Badakhshan, Wardak, Sir-e Pol, Faryab,Baghalan, Takhar, Helmand, Nangarhar and Ghazni provinces.

Herat- 41 insurgents including Mullah Najibullah known as Rafiullah, Taliban military shadow district governor for Shindan district and Safiullah Chapat, Taliban shadow district governor for Pashtun Zarghon district were killed, 1 wounded and 1 vehicle was destroyed in during ground & air special operation in Dahan Taghan Koh, Dahan Khadaaj, Pushit Tangai areas, Oba district.

Logar- 26 insurgents were killed in airstrike carried by Result Support in Azra district.

Kunduz- 24 insurgents were killed, 23 were wounded, 2 Kalashnikovs (Ak-47) were seized, 1 Saracha (vehicle) and 8 motorbikes were destroyed in clearing operation in Khan Abad & Imam Sahib Districts.

Balkh- 12 insurgents were killed, 18 were wounded, some arrested and several hideouts were destroyed in response attacks in Balkh district.

Paktikah- 12 insurgents were killed, 5 were wounded and 10 IEDs were discovered & defused in response attacks in Waza Khwa district.  

Badakhshan- 7 insurgents were killed and 11 were wounded in during joint operation in Argon district.   

Wardak- 2 insurgents were killed in airstrike in Nirkh district.
