62 Insurgents Were Killed in Different Parts of the Country
Kabul, Afghanistan: in the past 24 hours, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 13 joint clearance operations and conducted 74 Special Forces operations in different parts of the country. In order to remove security threats and ensure security to the people of Afghanistan, Afghan Air Forces conducted 162 flights and carried out 21 airstrikes on enemies’ positions in support of these operations. As a result, 62 Insurgents were killed, 32 were wounded and 6 were detained.
These operations were conducted with support of Resolute Support and Afghan Air Forces in, Takhar, Ghor, Uruzgan, Helmand, Badghis, Kapisa, Ghazni, Balkh, Badakhshan, Sir-e Pol, Paktika, Kandahar and Kunar provinces.
In these operations, 19 insurgents were killed, 5 were wounded and a vehicle was destroyed in Baharak and Ishkamish districts of Takhar province. 15 insurgents were killed, 13 were wounded, 6 were detained, 2 vehicles, 3 motorbikes and amount of weapon and ammunition were destroyed in Ahan Garan, Shatur Khan, villages and Amarwatak capital of Ghor province. 14 insurgents were killed and 4 hideouts were destroyed in Kotwal villages and Nah-e Chine capital of Uruzgan province. 6 insurgents were killed and 1 fighting position was destroyed in Sangin and Nahar Saraj districts of Helmand province.
Similarly, 3 insurgents were killed and 3 were wounded in Afghania valley, Nijrab district of Kapisa province. 3 insurgents were killed and 5 were wounded in Bala Murghab district of Badghis province. An insurgent was killed, 3 were wounded and amount of weapon and ammunition were seized in Dawlat Abad district of Balkh province. An insurgent was killed in Andar district of Ghazni province
