76 Insurgents Were Killed in Different Parts of the Country

Kabul, Afghanistan: in the past 24 hours, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 8 joint clearance operations and conducted 77 Special Forces operations in different parts of the country. In order to remove security threats and ensure security to the people of Afghanistan, Afghan Air Forces conducted 129 flights and carried out 10 airstrikes on enemies’ positions in support of these operations. As a result, 76 Insurgents were killed, 50 were wounded and another was detained.

These operations were conducted with support of Resolute Support and Afghan Air Forces in, Takhar, Uruzgan, Kunduz, Helmand, Kandahar, Sir-e Pol, Kapisa, Ghazni and Paktika provinces.

In these operations, 19 insurgents were killed and 12 were wounded in Khwaja Ghar district of Takhar province. 17 insurgents were killed, 3 were wounded, 4 hideouts, 2 motorbikes, 7 rounds of IEDs and amount of weapon and ammunition were destroyed in Khas-Uruzgan district and capital of Uruzgan province. 12 insurgents were killed and 18 were wounded in Qala Zal district of Kunduz province. 11 insurgents were killed in Marja and Nad Ali districts of Helmand province. 

Similarly, 9 insurgents were killed, 10 were wounded in Shah Walikut district of Kandahar province.

4 insurgents including a Taliban local commander were killed, 7 were wounded, 1 was detained, 60 kg opium and amount of weapon and ammunition were destroyed in Sayyad district and capital of Sir-e Pol province.  4 insurgents including a Taliban local commander were killed and amount weapon and ammunition were destroyed in Tagab district of Kapisa province.
