63 Insurgents Were Killed in Different Parts of the Country
Kabul, Afghanistan: in the past 24 hours, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 9 joint clearance operations and conducted 78 Special Forces operations in different parts of the country. In order to remove security threats and ensure security to the people of Afghanistan, Afghan Air Forces conducted 123 flights and carried out 33 airstrikes on enemies’ positions in support of these operations. As a result, 63 Insurgents were killed and 23 were wounded.
These operations were conducted with support of Resolute Support and Afghan Air Forces in, Paktia, Sir-e Pol, Faryab, Kandahar, Helmand, Ghazni, Balkh, Logar, Ghor, Farah and Kapisa, provinces.
In these operations, 16 insurgents were killed and a vehicle was destroyed in Ahmad Abad and Haji Aryoub districts of Paktia province. 16 insurgents were killed and 17 were wounded in Qeshqari and Baghavi villages, capital of Sir-e Pol province. 10 insurgents including 2 Taliban shadow district governor each, Mawlavi Ezabullah Taliban shadow district governor for Pashtun kot and Mawlavi Ezatullah for Almar district were killed in Pashtun Kot district of Faryab province. 9 insurgents were killed in Jalrez district of Wardak province.
Similarly, 5 insurgents were killed and 1 fighting position was destroyed in Nad Ali and Musa Qala districts of Helmand province. 4 insurgents were killed in Nah-kam area, Andar district of Ghazni province. 2 insurgents were killed and 4 were wounded in Chamtal district of Balkh province. An insurgent was killed in Mango Khel area, capital of Logar province.
