57 Insurgents Were Killed in Different Parts of the Country          

Kabul, Afghanistan: in the past 24 hours, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 7 joint clearance operations and conducted 80 Special Forces operations in different parts of the country. In order to remove security threats and ensure security to the people of Afghanistan, Afghan Air Forces conducted 85 flights and carried out 4 airstrikes on enemies’ positions in support of these operations. As a result, 57 Insurgents were killed, 20 were wounded and 3 were detained.

These operations were conducted with support of Resolute Support and Afghan Air Forces in Laghman, Ghazni, Baghalan, Takhar, Khost, Wardak, Zabul, Kandahar and Paktikah provinces.

In these operations, 21 insurgents were killed, an enemy central command, 2 weapons and 2 motorbikes were destroyed in Nawzad and Musa Qala districts of Helmand province. 13 insurgents were killed, 14 were wounded and 2 fighting positions were destroyed in Tulga, Hangaran, Qaeshlak and Kakah Mangal villages, Baghalan e Markazi district of Baghalan province. 6 insurgents were killed and 2 were wounded in Noor lam valley, Alingar district of Laghman province.   2 insurgents were killed, 1 vehicle and 2 Ak-47 rifles were seized in ANDSF clearing operation in Yangi Qala district of Takhar province.

Similarly, 12 insurgents were killed, 1 wounded, 3 were detained, 5 Ak-47 rifles, 27 magazine, 10 RPG and a motorbike were destroyed in Sabari district of Khost province.  An insurgent was killed, 1 Humvee packed with explosives near to enemy was destroyed near in Arghandab and Shinkay districts of Zabul province. 2 insurgents were killed, 3 were wounded and 9 different round of IEDs were discovered and defused in Shah Walikut district of Kandahar province
