74 Taliban Terrorists Were Killed in Different Parts of the Country

Kabul, Afghanistan: In order to remove security threats and ensure security to the people of Afghanistan, in the past 24 hours, Afghan National Army launched 6 joint clearance operations and conducted 84 Special Forces operations in different parts of the country. Afghan Air Forces conducted 161 flights and carried out 14 airstrikes on enemies’ positions in support of these operations.

As a result, 74 Taliban terrorists were killed, 14 were wounded.

Details:

These operations were conducted in Uruzgan, Helmand Ghazni, Kunar, Kandahar, Nimruz, Badghis Badakhshan, Baghalan and Nangarhar provinces.

Uruzgan: Deh Rahwod& Trenkut districts, 31 terrorists were killed, 3 were wounded, 7 Taliban hideouts, amount of weapons & amos and 2 round of IED were destroyed in airstrikes carried by Resolute Support in support of operations conducted by 4th Strikes Battalion, Commandos.

Helmand: Nahar Saraj, Nad Ali & Musa Qala districts, 13 terrorists were killed, 2 Taliban hideouts, amount of weapons and amos and 2 vehicles were destroyed in airstrikes carried by Resolute Support in support of ANA.

Ghazni: Qarabagh, Andar & Muqur districts, 13 terrorists were killed, 6 were wounded, Waghaz Camp areas, Abu Qala, Baran Qala & Mushaki villages were cleared from terrorists and a motorbike was destroyed in an airstrikes carried by Resolute Support in support of 3rd Brigade, 203rd Thunder Corps   

Kunar: Chapa Dara, 13 terrorists were killed in an airstrikes carried by Resolute Support in support of 2nd Brigade, 201 Selab Corps,

Kandahar: Khakrez district, 4 terrorists were killed & 5 were wounded in clearance operation conducted by 1st Brigade, 205th Atal Corps.

Nimruz: Delaram districts, a Taliban hideout, 2 fighting positions were destroyed & 6 RPG were seized in clearance operation conducted by 4th Brigade, 215th Maiwand Corps.

Badghis: Bala Murghab district, operations continues in Aka-Ziah, Breda Shamal, Tapa-Pahlawan, Wadan-Pasab villages of Bala Murghab district, the details about ememies causalities later will be share.  

Similarly, The ANA clearing operations successfully continues in Nangarhar, Badakhshan and Baghalan provinces, the details and achievements of these operations will be published soon.

Note: It is with great sadness that during these operations we have lost few Afghan National Army heroes who fought with bravery and courage. We shall also mention that few other ANA soldiers sustained minor injuries. May the soul of martyrs rest in peace and we wish speedy recovery for those who have been injured. All the bodies of our martyred & our injured soldiers have been transported to Kabul to be transferred to their respected families.
