94 insurgents were killed in different parts of the country Kabul, Afghanistan: In the past 24 hours, , Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 6 clearing operation and carried out 79 Special Forces tasks in different parts of the country in order to remove security threats and ensure security. Afghan Air Forces also conducted 86 flights supporting Afghan National Army and carried out 13 airstrikes on enemies’ positions. As a result, 94 insurgents were killed and 18 others wounded. These operations were conducted by the Afghan National Army Forces and with the support of Air forces in Laghman, Khost, Logar, Paktika, Paktia, Oruzgan, Zabul, Badghis, Farah, Balkh, Baghlan, Jawzjan and Helmand provinces. In these operations, 51 insurgents were killed and some rounds of weapon destroyed in Balamurghab district of Badghis. 21 insurgents were killed, one was wounded, 2 hideouts, one vehicle and some rounds of weapon and ammunition destroyed in Dehrawod district and Oruzgan capital. 7 insurgents were killed in Chamtal district of Balkh. 6 insurgents affiliated with Haqani network killed, a depot of ammunitions and a vehicle destroyed in Barmal and Gomal districts of Paktika. 5 insurgents were killed and 12 others were wounded in Mandegar district of Farah. 2 insurgents were killed and 2 others were wounded in Arghandab district of Zabul. 2 insurgents were killed and 3 others were wounded along the Sarepul – Jawzjan highway. It is with great sadness that during these operations two of our brave comrades were martyred and 6 others were wounded. May the soul of martyrs rest and peace and we wish speedy recovery for those injured.
