Kabul, Afghanistan: In the past 24 hours, , Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 3 clearing operations and carried out 64 Special Forces tasks in different parts of the country in order to remove security threats and ensure security. Afghan Air Forces also conducted 96 flights supporting Afghan National Army and carried out 5 airstrikes on enemies’ positions. As a result, 23 insurgents were killed and 13 others were wounded.
These operations were conducted by the Afghan National Army Forces and with the support of Air forces in Laghman, Kandahar, Baghlan, Faryab and Helmand provinces.
In these operations, 13 insurgents were killed and 5 others were wounded in Qaisar and Dawlat Abad districts of Faryab. 6 insurgents were killed, 2 vehicles and 3 motorbikes were destroyed in Maroof district of Kandahar.
Similarly, 3 insurgents were killed, 6 were wounded and a depot of weapons and ammunition destroyed in Nad Ali, Greshk, Marja and Sangin districts of Helmand. A vehicle and some rounds of weapon and ammo seized as well. One insurgent was killed and 2 others were wounded in Alishang district of Laghman.
Afghan National Army as the nation’s defense forces, are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
