38 insurgents were killed in different parts of the country
Kabul, Afghanistan: In the past 24 hours, , Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 4 clearing operations and carried out 68 Special Forces tasks in different parts of the country in order to remove security threats and ensure security. Afghan Air Forces also conducted one flight supporting Afghan National Army. As a result, 38 insurgents were killed, 25 were wounded and 2 suspects were arrested.
These operations were conducted by the Afghan National Army Forces and with the support of Air forces in Farah, Badghis, Sarepul, Baghlan, Faryab and Helmand provinces.
In these operations, 14 insurgents were killed and 15 others were wounded in Pashtonkut and Qaisar districts of Faryab. 12 insurgents were killed, 2 suspects were arrested, 14 fighting positions, 150 meter long trench and rounds of weapon and ammunition destroyed in Sangen district of Helmand.
Similarly, 6 insurgents were killed and 9 others were wounded in Sancharak district of Sarepul. 6 insurgents were killed and 9 others were wounded in Laman area, Badghis capital.
Afghan National Army as the nation’s defense forces, are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
