Acting national defense minister Assadullah Khalid meets with acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan

Asadullah Khalid meets his US counterpart Patrick M. Shanahan 2/11/2019 Kabul-Afghanistan Acting Defense Minister Asadullah Khalid met his U.S counterpart Patrick M. Shanahan at ANA special operations corps in Kabul on Monday. The meeting was held to recognize the efforts of Afghan Special Operations Forces and discuss security issues as well as capabilities of Afghan National Army. Both emphasized that Afghanistan and the US have shared interests in the future prosperity of Afghanistan. Mr. Khalid also pointed out the recent achievements of Afghan national army all over the country and valued the cooperation and joint efforts by Afghan and U.S. governments in fighting against the enemies of both countries.
