Statement of Ministry of National Defense reports regarding the attack in Khan-Abad district of Kunduz province!

A group of Taliban terrorists attacked on ANDSF positions in (“Nik-Pahi Sayed-Ramzan”) area of Khan-Abad district of Kunduz province, today.

Afghan National Defense and Security Forces acting based on their active defense posture, conducted reciprocal attacks in Khan-Abad district of Kunduz province, which as a result, 30 Taliban terrorists including their 2 commanders each named “Qari Abdul Razaq and Mawlavi Abas” were killed and 8 others terrorists including two Taliban local commanders each named “Faizahni and Qari Ebrahim known as Azifa” were wounded.

Additionally, 4 vehicles, 8 motorbikes, a large number of their weapons and ammunition were destroyed during the Afghan National Army operation.

Based on primary information’s in this attack, there is no civilians were harmed, but Ministry of National Defense will investigate into allegations regarding the civilian casualties and will share its details with the media and people of Afghanistan.
