Statement of the Ministry of Defense on the Relocation of ANA Base in Bala Murghab District!

After a thorough evaluation by the Ministry of National Defense, the ANA has relocated one of its bases called “Khalid” from Bala Murghab District of Badghis province to a new location.

The location of this base in Bala Murghab district was not strategically important for the ANDSF. 

Furthermore, this action was taken due to rough terrain and complex routes to the base, difficulties with the local climate and difficulties in sustaining the base on a timely manner. 

ANA forces will provide security from a newly-established base and will carry on their operations in a more effective manner which will prove effective in providing security and protecting the lives and property of residents in Badghis province.
