Security forces repel Taliban attack in Charkh District, Logar Province

Last night, the Taliban carried out an attack on an Afghan National Defense and Security Forces ANDSF checkpoint in Qala-e Dasht, Charkh District, Logar Province. This attack was repelled by the brave forces of the Afghan National Army and the Taliban attackers were defeated.

Under the active defense posture, the ANDSF inflicted heavy casualties on the Taliban, and a number of their bodies remained on the battlefield.

Sadly, nine brave Afghan National Security forces were also martyred. The leadership of the Ministry of Defense convey our deepest condolences to the families of those who were martyred.

We ask the Almighty Allah to grant them heaven and bestow endless patience and tolerance on the families. We consider ourselves partners in their grief and sorrow.
