First Deputy Minister of Defense meets with the Deputy of International Committee of Red Cross for Afghanistan!

Shah Mahmood Miakhel First Deputy of Ministry of National Defense met and discussed with the Deputy of International Committee of Red Cross for Afghanistan in his office, today.

In the beginning, First Deputy Defense Minister, thanked and appreciated the activities and cooperation’s of the Committee in various areas in Afghanistan, especially in transferring the ANDSF injured soldiers and counted the activities of the Committee throughout past years very effective.

Mr. Miakhel said that, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces are committed to maintain the human rights and war laws on the battlefield, prevent civilian casualties, and assistances with families of war victims and also he added the Ministry of National Defense will continue its cooperation’s with the International Committee of Red Cross.

Meanwhile, Deputy of International Committee of Red Cross for Afghanistan emphasized the continued cooperation’s and assistances of the ICRC organization with the Ministry of National Defense and she said that, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is committed to assistance with the Ministry of Defense in joint efforts on the transfer of martyrs and treatment of the wounded, providing of prosthetic limbs for the disabled of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces, and conducts the wide range of training programs in the field of laws of war and human rights.

Its mentionable, the Ministry of National Defense committed to fully cooperate with international aid organizations.
