61 Insurgents Were Killed!   

Kabul-Afghanistan: in the past 24 hours, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces, launched 12 joint offensive & clearance operations, and conducted 84 Commandos, Special Forces operations in different parts of the country, in order to remove security threats, destroying the enemy’s sanctuaries and ensure better security to the people of Afghanistan, Afghan Air Forces conducted 134 flights and carried out 12 airstrikes on enemies’ positions in support of these operations. As a result, 61 Insurgents were killed, 56 were wounded and 10 were detained.

These operations were conducted with support of Resolute Support and Afghan Air Forces in, Zabul, Ghor, Logar, Faryab, Uruzgan, Takhar, Balkh, Wardak, Paktika, Helmand, Ghazni, Kandahar and Badghis provinces.

Zabul- 12 insurgents were killed, 8 were wounded, 1 detained, amount of weapons & ammunition and 32 barrels of IED were seized in response attacks in Daychopan district.  

Ghor- 11 insurgents were killed, 10 were wounded, 7 motorbikes and amount of weapons & ammunition were destroyed in airstrikes & clearing operation in Ghor capital.

Logar- 10 insurgents were killed, 1 wounded and 4 were detained in airstrikes & clearing operation in Charkh district and capital.

Faryab- 9 insurgents were killed and 17 were wounded in response attacks in Qaysar district.

Uruzgan- 6 insurgents were killed, 5 were wounded and 1 motorbike was destroyed in airstrikes & response attacks in Char chino district and capital.

Takhar- 6 insurgents were killed and 9 were wounded in airstrikes in Khwaja Bahauddin & Ishkamish districts.

Balkh- 2 insurgents were killed and were wounded in response attacks in Dawlat Abad & Charbulak districts.

Wardak- 3 insurgents were killed and 8 rounds of IED were discovered & defused in response attacks in Chak district.

Paktika- one insurgent was killed and 4 were wounded in an airstrike in Nika district.

Helmand- one insurgent was killed, 5 were arrested, 1 vehicle, 2 motorbikes, 11 fighting positions, 30 machicolations were destroyed and 14 rounds of IED were discovered and defused in clearing operation in Sangin and Nad Ali districts.
