65 Insurgents Were Killed!
Kabul, Afghanistan: in the past 24 hours, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces, launched 15 joint clearance operations and conducted 97 Commandos, Special Forces operations in different parts of the country, in order to remove security threats, destroying the enemy’s sanctuaries and ensure better security to the people of Afghanistan, Afghan Air Forces conducted 173 flights and carried out 11 airstrikes on enemies’ positions in support of these operations. As a result, 65 Insurgents were killed, 28 were wounded another was detained.
These operations were conducted with support of Resolute Support and Afghan Air Forces in, Logar, Helmand, Ghazni, Faryab, Uruzgan, Ghor, Balkh, Kapisa, Zabul, Takhar, Kunar, Nangarhar, Laghman, Herat and Sir-e Pol provinces.
Logar- 20 insurgents were killed and 2 motorbikes were destroyed in airstrikes and clearing operations in Baraki Barak district and Khamando, Pol-e Matani & Dasht-e Bari villages, logar capital.
Helmand- 11 insurgents were killed, 1 wounded, 1 hideout, 2 rounds of IED and 1 drug facility were destroyed in airstrikes & ANA clearing operation in Sangin, Nahar Saraj and Marja districts.
Ghazni- 7 insurgents were killed, 5 were wounded, 1 suspect was detained, 1 motorbike & 1 Dshk were destroyed in clearing operation in Andar and Qarabagh districts.
Faryab- 5 insurgents were killed and 6 were wounded in airstrikes in Bilcheragh district.
Uruzgan- 5 insurgents were killed and 2 were wounded in airstrikes in Khas-Uruzgan district.
Ghor- 4 insurgents were killed and 2 were wounded in response attacks in Dawlat Yar district.
Balkh- 4 insurgents were killed in airstrikes in Balkh district.
Kapisa- 4insurgent was killed in airstrikes in Nijrab district.
Zabul- 2 insurgents were killed and 2 were wounded in response attacks in Arghandab district.
Takhar- 2 insurgents were killed and 2 weapons were seized in response attacks in Khwaja Ghar district.
Kunar- 3 insurgents were wounded and 5 weapons were destroyed in airstrike in Shin-gal district.
