107 Taliban Insurgents Were Killed    

Kabul, Afghanistan: In the past 24 hours, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 12 joint clearance operations and conducted 86 Commandos, Special Forces operations in different parts of the Country; Afghan Air Forces carried out 14 airstrikes on enemies’ positions in support of these operations. As a result, 107 Insurgents were killed and 27 were wounded.

These operations were conducted with support of Resolute Support and Afghan Air Forces in, Balkh, Takhar, Paktikah, Zabul, Badghis, Farah, Faryab, Uruzgan, Helmand, Herat, Khost, Logar, Ghazni, Kunar, and Sir-e Pol provinces.

In these operations, 45 insurgents were killed in Sholgara district of Balkh province. 13 insurgents were killed, 9 were wounded and 2 rounds of IED were discovered and defused in Baharak district of Takhar province. 13 insurgents were killed and amount of weapon and ammunition were seized in Ziruk district of Paktikah province. 11 insurgents including were killed, 3 were wounded, 1 vehicle and 2 motorbikes were destroyed in Arghandab, Daychopan districts and capital of Zabul province.

Similarly, 8 insurgents were killed in Bala Murghab district of Badghis province. 7 insurgents were killed and 13 were wounded in Balabulok district of Farah province. 6 insurgents were killed and a weapon was confiscated in capital of Uruzgan province. 4 insurgents were killed and 2 were wounded in Pashtun Kot district of Faryab province.

Afghan National Army as the nation’s defense forces, are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
