84 Insurgents Were Killed in Different Parts of the Country

Kabul, Afghanistan: in the past 24 hours, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 8 joint clearance operations and conducted 79 Special Forces operations in different parts of the country. In order to remove security threats and ensure security to the people of Afghanistan, Afghan Air Forces conducted 158 flights and carried out 15 airstrikes on enemies’ positions in support of these operations. As a result, 84 Insurgents were killed and 31 were wounded.

These operations were conducted with support of Resolute Support and Afghan Air Forces in Ghor, Badghis, Zabul, Helmand, Samangan, Balk, Baghalan, Kandahar, Ghazni, Paktikah and Kapisa provinces.

In these operations, 41 insurgents including Mullah Baqi, a Taliban deputy shadow district governor were killed, 13 were wounded in Sharak district of Ghor province. 20 insurgents including Mullah Hayat, a Taliban local commander were killed and 4 were wounded in Bala Murghab district of Badghis province.

16 insurgents were killed and 5 were wounded in Char chino district of Uruzgan province.    

Similarly,4 insurgents were killed in Grishk district of Helmand province. 3 insurgents were killed and 9 were wounded in Shah Joy district of Zabul province.

 Afghan National Army as the nation’s defense forces, are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
