58 Taliban were killed in Talwaka area of Kondoz province.
The Afghan National Army and National Directorate of Security forces with air support from Resolute Support, conducted a joint operation, due to urgent requests from the people of Konduz, in Talwaka area, PD 6, Gultapa district of Kondoz province, last night, and the operation is still ongoing. During this operation, security forces targeted the enemy via air and ground. So far, 58 enemy have been killed and this includes their key commanders, Qari Qeyamuddin, Qari Yahyaa, Qari Amir, deputy district chief of Goor Tapa, Zainullah, Ubaida, Ahsaan Ullah and Haroon. The bodies (enemy) are buried in Talwak graveyards by local people, and injured people are being treated in Chaar Dara district clinic (by doctors without borders). Currently, the enemy’s headquarters is under siege and the operation is still ongoing. It is important to mention that there were foreign fighters, including nationals of Pakistan and Tajikistan fighting ANDSF alongside the Taliban. Dozens of villages have been cleared and the Afghan National Army is in pursuit. Note: It is with great sadness that we announce the martyrdom of four brave members of our Commando team who fought valiantly and sacrificed their lives. Five brave Commandos have sustained minor injuries. Our martyrs and injured commandos have been transferred to the Kabul.
