56 Insurgents Were Killed!

Kabul-Afghanistan: in the past 24 hours, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces, launched 12 joint offensive & clearance operations, and conducted 91 Commandos, Special Forces operations in different parts of the country, in order to remove security threats, destroying the enemy’s sanctuaries and ensure better security to the people of Afghanistan, Afghan Air Forces conducted 122 flights and carried out 27 airstrikes on enemies’ positions in support of these operations. As a result, 56 Insurgents were killed, 25 were wounded and 5 suspects were detained.  

These operations were conducted with support of Resolute Support and Afghan Air Forces in, Uruzgan, Ghazni, Zabul, Helmand, Farah, Herat, Paktia, Logar, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Faryab, Balkh, Sir-e Pol, Takhar and Kunduz provinces.

Uruzgan- 28 insurgents were killed, 17 were wounded and 1 hideout was destroyed in airstrikes in Khas-e Uruzgan and Trenkut districts.

Ghazni– 7 insurgents were killed in airstrikes in Ab-Band district.

Zabul- 6 insurgents were killed in airstrike in Arghandab district.

Helmand- 5 insurgents were killed, 2 suspects were arrested, 1 vehicle and amount of weapon & ammunition were destroyed in airstrikes & joint operation in Marja and Khan Shin districts.

Farah- 4 insurgents were killed and 3 were wounded in response attacks in Anar Dara district.

Herat- 3 insurgents were killed and 2 were wounded in airstrike in Shindan district.

Paktia- 2 insurgents were wounded, 1 motorbike and 1 vehicle packed with explosives were destroyed in airstrikes in Zarmat district.

Logar- 3 suspects were detained, 2 motorbikes and amount of weapons & ammunition were seized in airstrikes and clearing operation in Kharwar district.
