71 Insurgents Were Killed!

Kabul-Afghanistan: in the past 24 hours, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces, launched 12 joint offensive & clearance operations, and conducted 93 Commandos, Special Forces operations in different parts of the country, in order to remove security threats, destroying the enemy’s sanctuaries and ensure better security to the people of Afghanistan, Afghan Air Forces conducted 127 flights and carried out 18 airstrikes on enemies’ positions in support of these operations. As a result, 71 Insurgents were killed, 27 were wounded and 2 suspects were detained.  

These operations were conducted with support of Resolute Support and Afghan Air Forces in, Helmand, Baghalan, Uruzgan, Badghis, Faryab, Jowzjan, Farah, Ghazni, Nangarhar, Paktikah, Zabul, Kandahar, Balkh, Sir-e Pol, Kunduz and Takhar provinces.

Helmand- 37 insurgents were killed and 2 hideouts were destroyed in airstrikes in Musa Qala, Marja & Kajaki districts.

Baghalan- 10 insurgents were killed and 2 suspects were arrested in joint clearing operation in Cheshma Shir, Taliqan city

Uruzgan- 6 insurgents were killed, 9 were wounded, 1 mortar and 7 rounds of IED were discovered & defused in ANA commandos (SOC) clearing operation and response attacks in Uruzgan capital.

Badghis- 6 insurgents were killed, 2 were wounded and 1 motorbike was destroyed in airstrikes in Bala Murghab & Ab Kamari districts.

Faryab- 5 insurgents were killed, 7 were wounded, 4 motorbikes and amount of weapons & ammunition were destroyed in response attacks in Dawlat Abad district.

Jowzjan- 4 insurgents were killed, 2 were wounded and 1 motorbike was seized in ANA commandos (SOC) clearing operation in Qarqin district.

Farah- 2 insurgents were killed, 5 were wounded and Tapa Shiran, Zairat Gajgain, Chine-Afghani & Chine-Farsi villages were cleared from ememies presense in artillery attacks in Posht Rod district.

Ghazni - one insurgent was killed and 2 were wounded in response attacks in Muqur & Gelan districts.
