73 Taliban Insurgents Were Killed    

Kabul, Afghanistan: In the past 24 hours, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces, in order to remove security threats and destroying sanctuaries of enemies, ANDSF launched 13 joint clearance operations and conducted 81 Special Forces operations in different parts of the country, Afghan Air Forces conducted 128 flights and carried out 22 airstrikes on enemies’ positions in support of these operations. As a result, 73 Insurgents were killed, 31 were wounded and 23 were detained.

These operations were conducted with support of Resolute Support and Afghan Air Forces in, Paktikah, Takhar, Daykundi, Faryab, Wardak, Paktia, Helmand, Zabul, Sir-e Pol, Ghazni, Logar, Farah, Kunar, Balkh and Badakhshan provinces.

In these operations, 17 insurgents were killed, 2 were detained, 2 motorbikes and amount of weapon and ammunition were seized in Waza-Khwa, Wor Mamay, Mata Khan and Labayet Districts of Paktikah province.  11 insurgents were killed and 2 were wounded in Baharak district of Takhar province. 10 insurgents were killed and 5 were wounded in Kajran district of Daykundi province. 8 insurgents including Zabuir, a Taliban local commander were killed, 5 were wounded in Arghandab and Shahar Safa districts of Zabul province. 5 insurgents were killed, 1 wounded, 4 were arrested, 1 vehicle, 6 motorbikes and amount of weapon and ammunition were destroyed and also 19 mobile phone, 1 camera, 11 sim cards, 2 USB flash and some adverting documents were seized in Chak district of Wardak province.

Similarly, 5 insurgents were killed and 3 were wounded in Pashtun Kot district of Faryab province. 3 insurgents were killed and 5 were wounded in Sozma Qala district of Sir-e Pol province. 4 insurgents were killed in Grishk district of Helmand province. 4 insurgents were killed in Alokozai village, capital of Logar province. 3 insurgents were killed, 5 were wounded, 11 suspects were arrested and amount of weapon and ammunition were seized in Samkanay and Ahmad Abad districts of Paktia province. 3 insurgents were killed, 7 were wounded and 6 barrels of IED were destroyed in Andar district of Ghazni province. 4 suspects were detained in Khak-e Safid district of Farah province.
