126 Insurgents Were Killed in Different Parts of the Country

Kabul, Afghanistan: in the past 24 hours, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 7 joint clearance operations and conducted 77 Special Forces operations in different parts of the country. In order to remove security threats and ensure security to the people of Afghanistan, Afghan Air Forces conducted 64 flights and carried out 6 airstrikeson enemies’ positions in support of these operations. As a result, 126 Insurgents were killed and 76 were wounded.

These operations were conducted with support of Resolute Support and Afghan Air Forces in, Zabul, Wardak, Ghazni, Farah Sir-e Pol, Badghis, Takhar, Balkh, Ghor and Kapisa, provinces.

In these operations, 42 insurgents including 2 Taliban key commanders each Jamial Telawat and Haybat, were killed in Daychopan district of Zabul province. 24 insurgents including 5 Taliban local commanders each, Mawlavi Maiwand, Mullah Ghaos, Mullah Hamayoun, Mullah Khatab Kochi and Jamal Naser were killed, 29 were wounded and 1 vehicle was destroyed in Jalrez district of Wardak province. 25 insurgents were killed and 11 were wounded in Bazar-e Kosay area, Qarabagh district of Ghazni province. 16 insurgents including Taliban military in charge for Nahar Saraj were killed, 1 wounded and 1 hideout was destroyed in Marja and Nahar Saraj district of Helmand province.  

Similarly, 11 insurgents were killed, 12 were wounded, 1 vehicle and amount of weapons and ammunition were destroyed in Balabulok district and capital of Farah province.

4 insurgents were killed, 8 were wounded, 2 weapon shops and 4 depots of ammunition were destructed in Pashtun Kot district of Faryab province.  3 insurgents were killed, 7 were wounded and 8 motorbikes were destroyed in vicinities of Sir-e Pol province capital. 5 insurgents were killed in Qadis district of Badghis province.  

 Afghan National Army as the nation’s defense forces, are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
