The Ministry of National Defence extends its sincere wishes to all media personnel on the occasion of National Journalist’s Day.

Journalists are the models of honesty, commitment, compassion and patriotism to the country and the people, playing a vital role in increasing public awearness and brightening public thoughts. The role of journalism in portraying the real picture from incidents is laudable, as it makes possible public oversight on the authorities and enforcement agencies.

A journalist is the vision of a society that by seeing and broadcasting realities and problems reflects voice of the people; moreover, through questioning plays a greater role in bringing social justice. Media activists, as representatives of public minds, are demanders of transparency; they have a great role in fight against corruption and social problems. Therefore,   in today’s world, Media is known as a powerful wing in fight against corruption.
