98 insurgents were killed in different parts of the country      

Kabul, Afghanistan:  In the past 24 hours, , Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched two clearing operation and carried out 72 Special Forces tasks in different parts of the country in order to remove security threats and ensure security. Afghan Air Forces also conducted 153 flights supporting Afghan National Army and carried out 14 airstrikes on enemies’ positions. As a result, 98 insurgents were killed, 4 were wounded and 7 others were arrested.

These operations were conducted by the Afghan National Army Forces and with the support of Air forces in Ghazni, Oruzgan, Logar, Maidan Wardak, Farah, Nangarhar, Badghis and Helmand provinces.

In these operations, 28 insurgents were killed, one was wounded, 2 were arrested, one vehicle and 10 motorbikes were destroyed in Moqur, Nawa and Qarabagh districts of Ghazni. 23 insurgents were killed and 7 hideouts were destroyed in Khanaqa and Chapakhak areas of Oruzgan. 17 insurgents were killed, 3 were detained, 5 motorbikes and an explosive-packed vehicle destroyed in Sayed Abad and Jaghato districts of Maidan Wardak. 9 insurgents were killed in Hesarak district of Nangarhar.

Similarly, 8 insurgents were killed and 3 others were wounded in Pushtrod, Anardara and Farah capital. 3 vehicles, one fighting position and some rounds of ammunition destroyed as well. 8 insurgents were killed, 2 hideouts and some amount of explosives were destroyed in Balamorghab district of Badghis. 3 insurgents were killed, one was arrested, 4 motorbikes and rounds of ammunition seized. 3 bags of explosives, one motorbike and one vehicle destroyed as well. 2 insurgents were killed in Sangen district of Helmand.

Afghan National Army as the nation’s defense forces, are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
