Gen. Asadullah Khalid, acting Minister of Defense, once again visits the Parwan province!
Gen. Asadullah Khalid, Acting Ministry of National Defense once again along with Gen. Austin Scott Miller commander of Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan, visited Parwan province on today afternoon Thursday, to address the problems and distribution of aid to the victims’ families caused by flash floods and meanwhile they discussed about how to help the people who affected by floods with provincial leadership and elders of Parwan province.
Fazaluddin Ayar governor of Parwan province thanked the acting Defense Minister for his assistance and cooperation to the victims’ families and he said that the Ministry of National Defense was the first government organization which provided the necessary help and cooperation to the people who damaged by flood.
During this visit, Gen. Asadullah Khalid extended his condolences with people of Parwan province and said that "the Afghan National Army has provided the necessary facilities to the flood victims’ family".
The ANA is not only for the sake of war, in any situation, they are with their people, and since yesterday, many ANA food and aid kits have been distributed to the people affected by floods, and today food and aid kits have been delivered and transferred by ANA helicopters in the Parwan province “and it will be distributed to the flood affected people."
In the meantime, Gen. Scott Miller commander of Resolute Support Mission in the country, added that "NATO Forces will also help the flood victims’ families in Parwan and a part of this aid which includes food, has been transferred to Parwan province."
The Ministry of National Defense has already sent the vehicles including (Bulldozer, Loader & Excavator) for the cleaning the roads mud and pulling out the dead bodies from under the rubble and meanwhile provided medical services to the injured people.
