During the transfer ceremony, acting Defense Minister, General Assadullah Khalid, appreciated the US and NATO's assistance in financing and equipping the ANDSF and emphasized on the continuation of the assistance until terrorism is eradicated from Afg.

and the region. General Khalid expressed hopes that the ongoing negotiations between the Afg. Gov. and the Taliban will lead to establishing sustainable peace.

He also stated: "the enemy has escalated their violent campaign and continue killing Afghans. We assure that the enemy's victory through violence is a dream that may never come true.
