36 Taliban Terrorists Were Killed in Different Parts of the Country

Kabul, Afghanistan: In order to remove security threats and ensure security to the people of Afghanistan, in the past 24 hours, Afghan National Army launched 6 joint clearance operations and conducted 84 Special Forces operations in different parts of the country. Afghan Air Forces conducted 151 flights and carried out 7 airstrikes on enemies’ positions in support of these operations.

As a result, 36 Taliban terrorists were killed, 15 were wounded and 2 suspects were detained.

Details:

These operations were conducted in Kunar, Nangarhar, Ghazni, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Zabul, Badghis, Farah, Baghalan, Balkh, Nimruz and Helmand provinces.

Baghalan: Pol-e Khomari, 10 terrorists were killed, 2 were wounded in clearance operation conducted by 2nd Battalion, Commandos, Special Operations Corps.

Uruzgan: Khan Aqa area, a Taliban hideout was destroyed, 7 terrorists were killed in an airstrikes carried by Resolute Support in support of ANA.

Baghalan: Cheshma-e Shir area, 7 terrorists including Haji Mullah a Taliban local commander were killed and 4 were wounded in an airstrikes conducted by Afghan Air Force in 2nd Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 209 Shaheen Corps.

Balk: Chamtal district, a Taliban hideout was destroyed, 5 terrorists were killed in an airstrikes carried by Resolute Support in support of Afghan National Army.

Farah: Posht Rod district, 2 terrorists were killed, 7 were wounded and a round of mortar was destroyed in Special operations conducted by 2nd Battalion, Commandos, Special Operations corps.

Zabul: 2 terrorists were killed and 1 Ak-47 rifle was seized in an operation conducted by Strikes Battalion, Special Operations Corps.

Nimruz: Delaram district, a terrorist was killed, 2 were wounded, 2 suspects were detained, 1 vehicle was destroyed, 7 motorbikes and amount of amos were confiscated in clearance operation conducted by 4th Brigade, 215th Maiwand Corps.

Similarly, The ANA clearing operations successfully continues in Nangarhar, Kunar, Ghazni, Kandahar, Badghis and Helmand provinces, the details and achievements of these operations will be published soon.

Note: It is with great sadness that during these operations we have lost 5 Afghan National Army heroes who fought with bravery and courage. We shall also mention that few other ANA soldiers sustained minor injuries. May the soul of martyrs rest in peace and we wish speedy recovery for those who have been injured. All the bodies of our martyred & our injured soldiers have been transported to Kabul to be transferred to their respected families.
