26 insurgents were killed in different parts of the country      

Kabul, Afghanistan:  In the past 24 hours, , Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 17 clearing operations and carried out 81 Special Forces tasks in different parts of the country in order to remove security threats and ensure security. Afghan Air Forces also conducted 81 flights supporting Afghan National Army on enemies’ positions. As a result, 26 insurgents were killed and 10 were wounded and 11 were detained.

These operations were conducted by the Afghan National Army Forces and with the support of Air forces in Nangarhar, Kapisa, Ghazni, Paktia, Khost, Paktikah, Kandahar, Badghis, Sir-e Pol, Balkh, Faryab, Takhar and Helmand provinces.

In these operations, 15 insurgents were killed, 6 were wounded, 10 were arrested and some weapons and ammunition were seized in Maiwand district of Kandahar. 6 insurgents were killed and 3 were wounded in Andar and Qarabagh district of Ghazni. 5 insurgents were killed and 2 were wounded in Qaysar district Faryab Province.

Similarly, one depot of weapon and ammunition were discovered, 70 kg hashish, 11 RPG bullets, 22 kg explosives, 3 bags of IED s and some weapons and ammunition were destroyed in Sherzad district of Nangarhar. An insurgent was killed in Dasht-Qala district of Takhar Province.

Afghan National Army as the nation’s defense forces, are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
