Major General Tariq Shah Bahrami, Acting Minister of Defense Visits Nangarhar

 

MG. Tariq Shah Bahrami, Acting Defense Minister, along with Mohammad Masoom Stanikzai Director of National Security (NDS) and General Nicholson Commander of Resolute Support Mission visited Nangarhar province to evaluate the security situation in eastern provinces to assess the preparation level of 201st military corps on Sunday June 11, 2017.  

Visiting different Brigades of 201st corps, MG Bahrami met with 201 Sellab Corps Staff, 202th Shamshad Police Zone, security commanders and Heads of National Directorate of Security for Nangarhar, Kunar, and Laghman provinces.

LTG. Mohammad Zaman Waziri Commander of 201st corps presented security operation reports of the eastern region.

Later on, Bahrami praised the bravery and sacrifices of 201st corps personnel and said: “The Afghan government leadership promised the International Community in Brussels and Warsaw conferences to eradicating corruption and entitling the right people for the right jobs“.

The NDS Director General Mohammad Masoom Stanikzai called on the security forces in eastern provinces not to spare any efforts in defense of Afghanistan and not to let enemies achieve their nefarious designs.

It is to mention that the Acting Defense Mnister Bahrami has already assessed the readiness level of combat forces in  209 Shaheen and  203 Tunder military corps.
