49 insurgents were killed in different parts of the country      

Kabul, Afghanistan:  In the past 24 hours, , Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 16 clearing operations and carried out 96 Special Forces tasks in different parts of the country in order to remove security threats and ensure security. Afghan Air Forces also conducted 86 flights supporting Afghan National Army and carried out 10 airstrike on enemies’ positions. As a result, 49 insurgents were killed and 23 others were wounded.

These operations were conducted by the Afghan National Army Forces and with the support of Air forces in Oruzgan, Kandahar, Kunar, Badghis, Nangarhar, Kapisa, Paktika, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Daikundi, Farah, Faryab and Helmand provinces.

In these operations, 35 insurgents were killed, 13 were wounded, 3 vehicles, 5 motorcycles and some rounds of weapon and ammo destroyed in Dehrawood, Khas Oruzgan and Chaharchino districts of Oruzgan. 6 insurgents were killed and 4 others were wounded in Shahwalikut district of Nangarhar. 3 insurgents were killed and 4 others were wounded in Qades district of Badghis.

Similarly, 3 insurgents were killed and 2 others were wounded in Gero district of Ghazni. 2 insurgents were killed in Manogai district of Kunar.

Afghan National Army as the nation’s defense forces, are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
